Liquor Licensing
In Nevada, a liquor license is considered a “privilege” and requires a good deal of paperwork from the applicant. Our goal is to advise you and navigate through the licensing process.In Nevada, anyone that is importing, wholesale or retails in alcohol is required to be licensed.
Kaizen Strategies will provide the forms as well as assisting clients with the application process. The applicant’s employment history, prior business relationships, evidence of financial stability, and criminal background will be investigated in detail. Kaizen Strategies will work with other local agencies to determine if the liquor licensing application information provided is accurate and resolve any issues that may be raised.
Clients must present documents for: business license, employer identification number (EIN) sales tax permit, health permit, building permit, and zoning permit. There are also public safety inspections for a liquor license which Kaizen Strategies will guide the client through.

If the client does not supply all required information, the application itself maybe in jeopardy. Kaizen Strategies will keep the client informed of the progress of the liquor license application which will keep delays to a minimum. Here are steps for getting a liquor license.
1. Jurisdiction
determine in which jurisdiction is your business located. The primary location of your business determines the jurisdiction in which you must file for your business license. There is Clark County, The City of Henderson, the City of Las Vegas, the City of North Las Vegas, Boulder City, the City of Mesquite, Nye County, Washoe County and City of Reno.
2. Type of License
there are different types of licenses available for different establishments like Tavern, Liquor store, Convenient store, restaurant, hotel, nightclubs etc.
4. Gather necessary documents
list of documents and forms that needs to be filled out is extensive and it depends on the type of business entity. You will have to complete liquor license application, a Nevada business registration form, a business tax permit, a copy of the permit issued by the Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), and a copy of the fictitious firm name certificate (if applicable).
Additional documents will also be needed and will vary depending on the type of business entity, but for all types of applications,
• You will need to show a state-issued ID, a driver’s license, or passport.
• You may need to show a copy of your conditional use permit or a receipt that shows your application has been submitted.
• You may need to show proof of the source of your funds, including bank statements, loan papers, financial statements, gift letters, real estate papers, tax returns and more.
5. Submit application and pay fee
After completing the application and collecting required documents the application packet is submitted in controlling jurisdiction business license department. There are several fees associated with liquor license. Once all the fees are paid the application is considered submitted.
6. Get your license
After completing all the necessary steps, the business will receive the liquor license if its application has been approved.
